Richard took me to Santa Monica today, and the weather was amazing. We walked around, played some games (he beat me at air hockey), and rode the Ferris Wheel. It was amazing.

I was not aware (and I might possibly be the only one) that Muscle Beach used to be at Santa Monica. They still have a bunch of equipment, but it's all metal. A little sketchy... there was a guy swinging across this thing, and then an old man did the same thing and totally showed him up.

It was a very good day, overall.

april fool's day!

I normally can't stand April Fool's day. It's usually a bunch of people saying things like "your shoe is untied, April Fool's!" Dumb.

But today at work they made the elevators up to wardrobe seem like Hollywood Tower of Terror. It was funny. There was a bellhop too, and he said "If you need anything, scream" right as the doors were closing. Good times.

hollywood...

Richard and I had dinner at Pink's on CityWalk tonight. Tasted like a regular hot dog to me, but maybe that's just because it's on CityWalk, and not the REAL Pink's.

Anyway, this was on the ceiling. And there were caricatures of a bunch of talk show hosts (Conan, Ellen, etc.) on the wall. It was pretty cool.

Didn't end up going to the premier. We didn't make it in. We were there over an hour early and still didn't make it in. But whatever. Then went to Macaroni Grill tonight with Joanna. 'Twas delicious. And half off. Even better! Watching UP (only the happy parts) in my jammies and snuggie and then going to bed. Perfect end to a not so perfect day.

sunny LA...

One of my favorite things about living in LA are the palm trees. They're almost always beautiful. It's hard not to love them.

Another thing I love is the amazing weather. Today it's sunny out in Santa Monica (after a small bit of rain) and there's a nice cool breeze from the ocean. It's just gorgeous out.

Today on my way home I got every single red light. Talk about frustrating. Aside from that, work was pretty good, and being home is good. I'll probably fall asleep quite shortly here on this couch... this new, comfortable couch. Yay.

Work tomorrow then the premier of Clash of the Titans with Richard. Should be fun! Update tomorrow!

In case you were wondering, you are not allowed to put this together alone. You must have a happy friend with a pencil in their ear to help you. Otherwise it will not work.

I did not have a pencil in my ear, but Joanna and I managed to put her futon together okay. Tonight will be the ultimate test.

movin' on up!

This is our new living room. We seem to have a lot of furniture... especially for college students. Usually it's a milk crate and a bean bag chair. We have 3 couches now. And 2 chairs. And 3 stools. And the neighbor boys are using our table until we need it back.

We love it though. And this new couch is super comfy. I feel I will probably fall asleep on it a lot...
